Google Cloud Storage
SQL Backup Master supports the use of Google Cloud Storage for database backup storage through their S3 compatible service endpoint.
To use Google Cloud Storage as a backup destination, you must have a Google Storage account. If you don't already have a Google Storage account, you can visit their website in order to create one.
To create a Google Cloud Storage backup destination within SQL Backup Master, click the Add toolbar button in the Destinations section of the Database Backup Editor window. When prompted to choose a destination, select Google Cloud (S3) and click the Select button.
Authentication
SQL Backup Master authenticates to Google Cloud Storage with an HMAC access key and secret pair, which can be created in the Interoperability settings area of your Google Cloud Storage account. The target bucket must already exist – SQL Backup Master will not create it for you.
Service Address
The Google Storage backup destination service address can be overridden, allowing it to be used with arbitrary S3 compatible service endpoints.
For more information, see the S3 Compatible Overview help topic.
Configuration
Please see the Amazon S3 help topic for discussion of the remaining configuration options.
