The S3 API, originally developed by Amazon Web Services, has become the de facto industry standard for cloud object storage. This widespread adoption means you have an enormous amount of flexibility when choosing a backup destination. By using the Custom S3 Compatible destination in SQL Backup Master, you can connect to a huge ecosystem of storage providers and on-premises software solutions.

All you need are three key pieces of information from your storage provider: an Access Key, a Secret Key, and a Service Address (also known as an endpoint URL).

On-Premises S3 Storage (Private Cloud)
